Abstract
This paper deals with the manuscript tradition of Synesius’ collection of letters, a text which enjoyed a great success in Byzantium especially during the Palaeologan period, when it became a model of style and was intensively copied. The identification in some manuscripts of the handwriting of Nicholas Triclines, John Pepagomenos and some other scribes, such as a certain John, more or less connected with Demetrius Triclinius, allows to reconstruct a Triclinian stage, perhaps a veritable edition, in the history of the text.
