Abstract
during the academic year 2010-11, in the course of Physiology and Pathophysiology II of the Degree in Pharmacy of the University of Barcelona, we designed a learning strategy in order to promote self-learning and the application of knowledge to practice based on activities of a functional type (2010PID-UB38). It was designed to allow the implementation of the activities in the Virtual Campus environment and also to be used as a part of the continuous assessment of the subject. What was developed was an activity based on the understanding of a text and subsequent application of what is learnt to a case study. Based on the impact on learning, dedication and student opinion, it can be concluded that this strategy is a useful tool for promoting continuous learning in an applied and integrative way.
