The territorial planning searchs to get a equilibrate and sustentable growth where the economical and social coesion, the conservation of the natural and patrimonial administration, equilibrate competitivity of the main pillars. The preservation of the life quality of the old people by the adoption of rules and specific legislation has been the object of the social debate for a long time. The biggest one is the Old People Statute , law number 10.741, October first, 2003, that joins in its structure since the garanties of the priority of the old people in the public services, administratives or judicial even health questions, free time, transportation and citizenship. The work that has been made for forty years with old people in the perspective of the culture as instrument of the formation to the citizenship in partner with the Perceu Abramo Institute, the SESC Brazil (Social Service from the Comerce) realized two researchs in all brazilian regions in 2007 about the old people, their expectations and the knowledge about the Old People Statute. This project intends to analyse and reflect about the results of this researchs disponibilized on the internet, specially about the population´s knowledge of the Old People Statute

Na planificação territorial busca-se conseguir um crescimento equilibrado e sustentável, onde coesão econômica e social, conservação de gestão dos recursos naturais e patrimoniais, competitividade equilibrada são seus principais pilares. A preservação da qualidade de vida da pessoa idosa por meio da adoção de normas e legislações específicas tem sido objeto de debate social há bastante tempo. A mais abrangente é o Estatuto do Idoso, lei nº 10.741 de 01 de outubro de 2003, que reúne em seu arcabouço desde a garantia de prioridade aos idosos na prestação de serviços públicos, administrativos ou judiciais, até questões de saúde, lazer, transporte e cidadania. Trabalhando há 40 anos com idosos na perspectiva da cultura como instrumento de formação para a cidadania em parceria com o Instituto Perseu Abramo,o SESC Brasil(Serviço Social do Comércio) realizou duas pesquisas em todas as regiões brasileiras em 2007 sobre o idoso, suas expectativas e o conhecimento sobre o Estatuto do Idoso. Pretende-se com este projeto analisar e refletir sobre os resultados dessas pesquisas, disponibilizados na internet, especialmente sobre o grau de conhecimento da população sobre o Estatuto do Idoso.
