Impactos ambientais: uma avaluaçao dos impactos ambientais em Itapetinga

Itapetinga is situated at Bahia’s Southeast Region, at 15º09’07” of South Latitude, 40º15’32” of West Longitude; with medium annual precipitation about 800 mm, medium annual temperature about 27ºC and medium altitude about 268m. The ground system has in the cattle breeding one of the most economic activity. This activity was implanted in a primitive way bringing many environmental damage like the deforestation, river’s accumulation of sand, extinction of native species and by the other hand its fast growth caused sanitation and territorial planning shortage. This work intent to show some kind of environmental impacts that occur on the Itapetinga’s municipality, describe and quantify trough photographies and official authority data like IBGE, Office of Hydro Resources, CRA and IBAMA. Itapetinga have been suffering from a economical diversification trough vesture from fiscal incentives to companies implementation. This “development” have been pushing many demands about habitation, sanitation and environment impact controls deriving from the installation of new enterprises.

Itapetinga está localizada na região sudoeste do Estado da Bahia, a 15º09’07” de Latitude Sul, 40º15’32” de Longitude Oeste; com precipitação média anual de 800 mm, temperatura média anual de 27ºC e altitude média de 268m. O agrossistema tem na pecuária uma das principais atividades econômicas. Esta foi implantada numa forma primitiva acarretando vários danos ambientais como o desmatamento, assoreamento dos rios, extinção de espécies nativas e por outro lado o seu crescimento rápido originou déficits de saneamento e planejamento territorial. Este trabalho pretende mostrar alguns tipos de impactos ambientais que ocorrem no município de Itapetinga, descrever-los e quantificá-los através de fotografias e dados de fontes oficiais como o IBGE, Secretaria de Recursos Hídricos, CRA e IBAMA. Itapetinga vem sofrendo uma diversificação econômica através de investimentos oriundos de incentivos fiscais para a implantação de empresas. Este “desenvolvimento” tem pressionado várias demandas relacionadas à habitação, saneamento e controles dos impactos ambientais provenientes da instalação de novos empreendimentos.
